Frequently Asked Questions

How much will PHF pay for my bad debt?

No two debts are the same, and how much yours is worth depends on a number of factors, including the age of the debt, the history of the debt, how hard it has been worked, and how solid the underlying contract is.

What do I have to pay?

Nothing.  We pay you.

Who’s name will appear on legal letters and court filings?

PHF’s name will appear on any letters and court filings.  We will own the debt. Your business’s name will only be referenced to show where the debt came from.

What type of debt will PHF purchase?

Almost any Idaho-based debt. Call or email for a free evaluation.

Are there any types of debt PHF will not purchase?

PHF will not purchase the following types of debt: medical (besides dental and chiropractic); from a deceased or bankrupt debtor or spouse; junior to a large amount of other debt; originating outside Idaho; or old enough that the statute of limitations has expired.

PHF requires that you hand over sufficient evidence of the debt as well.

How soon do I get paid?

Meet with us for 30 minutes and provide us with a summary and sample contracts of the debt you might be interested in selling.  We’ll examine the debt, and if it’s a good fit, you’ll have a check within a week.

Will I have any responsibility to help PHF after I sell my debt to them?

Not if we have all the information on the debt.  As soon as you hand that over to us, you are not longer responsible for the debt or any attempts to collect it.
